Position:

Assistant Aircraft Systems / Avionics Coder

General:


Assisting Lead Aircraft Systems and Avionics Coder in weekly design and coding tasks. Candidates should be able to design and code aircraft and avionics systems, based on information’s from manuals, papers, drawings etc.

Willing to search and look for applicable information by using sources like the internet, available documents, Advisor reports etc.

Preferably be able to work 15+ hours/week. Be able to present the weekly FM department meeting as well as be able to provide (mail/post) a weekly progress status report to the Lead Systems and Avionics Coder.

Candidates have the great opportunity to get in 'on the ground level', be part of CREATING a sim, not just MODDING something that is already out there. And with success of this initial project, the opportunities that could present themselves are virtually boundless.

Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

Familiar with aircraft systems (real aircraft or simulator)
C/C++ coding experience
Ability to be a pro-active participant within a team, complete tasks by deadlines, and have an adequate knowledge enabling you to work alone, yet be a team player as well when multiple tasks have to be integrated into one.
Good knowledge of English (including the technical language)

Desirable Criteria:

Experience in systems and avionics coding is highly welcome. (FS2004, X-Plane etc.)
Experience in software design techniques like UML etc.
Familiar with Flight Manuals and System Specifications.
