En bref:7217 Error Solved? I have a 6600GT. With the Nvidia 66.93 Drivers Eaw would work, but only an EAW 1.0 install. Patched to 1.2, 1.26 and/or OAW Unified the game would not run at all. I downloaded Nvidia Omega Drivers 1.6693 from http://www.omegadrivers.net . After installing the drivers with the "quality" option, I was able to run 1.26 and/or OAW without any problems. If you have a 6xxx series video card try these drivers out. If you have a 7xxx series video card you might try the DHzer0point .8360 Driver available at http://www.driverheaven.net . Both of these drivers are tweaked for a number of things including compatiblity. It seems that these have 8 bit support added back in. Good Luck.
